dgArts Music Making

dgArts has a range of facilities for creative music making, including the Music Bus.

dgArts have kitted out a mobile IT facility with five music workstations each with keyboards, CD burners and music software including Cubase SX, Reason, and acid music. For extra measure we have added sampling, microphones, synthesisers and an electric guitar with effects. Just about all you need to get started on making your own music CD. An experienced musician will be on hand at all times to help you with your project.

Sessions will:

Introduce children to music or animation software

Support them to use the software

Deliver a practical workshop relating to a chosen topic from the environmental grid or any other area you specify

Create an original piece of music (or animation) with the groups

Record the work created

Provide the children with the recorded work

Benefits include:

Increased self confidence

Improved team and partnership working

The Music Bus is available to hire, and is suitable for both schools and youth groups. A session on the Music Bus, supported by trained staff, offers the opportunity for kids to try their hand at creating new music on the Bus’s specialist software, which allows each participant to go home with their own track on a disk.
