‘Streets of Dumfries’, a free one day musical celebration on Saturday 21 May, brings Big Band Street Carnival to Dumfries High Street. This will be a free event, suitable for families and
visitors and locals alike.
Happy people of every age will funk and jive to Orkestra del Sol and Horndog Brass, there’ll be high trapeze, street dancers and stilt walkers and when the carnival gets down to the River Nith, there’s a special, ticketed show featuring top trad-rock Scottish band Skerryvore, and more from those extraordinary re-inventors of the brass band, Orkestra del Sol.
