Kirkmahoe Concerts presents “The Joel Allison Quartet”
Joel Allison makes a welcome return to Kirkmahoe – this time as a band leader with his own superbly talented group. In the beautiful setting and superb acoustics of the Barony Church. his quartet will play a set of melodic “chamber jazz” for a spring afternoon. The theme of the concert will be ‘re-awakenings’. Expect some standards, contemporary compositions and wonderful improvisation. Joel Allison (bass), Kenji Fenton (sax), Mark Townson (guitar) and John Powney (percussion). An outstanding new quartet!
