Our vision is to improve access to high quality literature in a wide variety of forms across the region. We want to encourage participation in literature by helping to develop the best possible environment for writers and readers, publishers, performers, audiences and literature organisations. We believe the live literature event is an arts experience in its own right and is a way of communicating the power of the written word. We will support artists to create high quality, inspirational and exciting text-based works that enrich and enhance public art and the landscape. We recognize the unique and inspirational resource our region offers to writers, readers, storytellers and audiences.
